Classroom mix

I would try to balance them by making sure that the technology was not replacing my teaching. the technology needs to enhance the teaching. There are times that I may use a mix of technology, such as powerpoint or I-movie.Other times I might stand in the front of the classroom and lecture, then direct the students to look at something on a certain website,or read something in the textbook. I believe that you need to know the students and what motivates them to learn. If you use a variety of technologies, you are more likely to hit on something that will interest everyone in the class and encourage those authentic learning moments.

  1. I think you have the right idea Eddie. It is all about balance of technology and "face-to-face" teaching. I really like that you believe that technology should not replace your teaching but should enhance it. You are spot on! Good post!

  2. The benefits of direct instruction to the learning process are numerous and have a direct influence on student achievement. However, educators have to revise those "sage on the stage" instructional strategies and adopt instructional strategies that allow them to become a facilitator of education.
