Collaberating with students, peers, and community leaders can be very helpful in creating student success. I would use a class e-mail to let community leaders and parents know the plans we have for the class.My peers would a;so be on the e-mail ost so  that they could see what we were doing as well as offer suggestions on other ways to accomplish our goals. Using tools such as symabaloo wil help the students organize their websites for easier access to homework and classwork answers.Having a blog that the students and parents can read to get homework information from is also an idea. Technology can be helpful if you put it to work for you.
